When we think about creating projects by coding in different languages, it is very common for us to get a little overwhelmed by the idea. Since coding has always been considered a skill that needs a lot of mastering and practice, we might refrain from creating projects as a beginner. But what if I tell you that despite being a kid and not having extremely good coding skills you can still make interesting and complex coding projects. 

Yes, you read it right! There exists a programming language that is easy to learn and grasp – Scratch. You can master it within a few weeks and get on with your task of creating extremely good and interesting projects.

Scratch is a visual programming language specially designed for students. It is a block-based programming language. All the activities and codes written in Scratch can be divided and isolated into segments called blocks. It allows children to explore their creative side, collaborate and make good use of their innovative abilities to reason and create.

You can add text, sprites and movements to the sprite. You can make it as creative as you want through motion and other elements present.

  1. Collage: You can make a collage of all things you love. It can be all your favourite food items, your favourite artists, your favourite movies or anything you love. You can add animation and motion where they can pop one by one. This would be an easy and interesting project.

  1. Maze: This is one of the most popular projects made by most Scratch coders in their beginner journey. This can be created by the people who have a great interest in gaming. You can create obstacles of your wish and construct new levels. You can add features of keeping a check on scores and foul plays. The movements can be done using keyboard commands. You can either create a sprite for movement or a ball or an animal.

  1. Pacman Game: We all have played Pacman in our childhood. So now it is your turn to make it in Scratch and add your innovation to it.

  1. Soccer: Create your soccer team of 5 vs 5 and create a field with players playing the game. This is a project which can test several skills you have learnt.

  1. Dress up games: Loved playing dress up games in your childhood? Now you can create your own game with different outfits, makeup, hairstyles etc. and have fun playing dress-up.
